Ice Swim in Morocco

The Ice Swim in Morocco is the first ice swimming event organized in the country. Its main objective is to promote and develop this discipline while offering Moroccan and international swimmers a unique and exciting experience.

The event offers participants various swimming distances, ranging from 50 meters to 1000 meters, allowing them to take on a challenge suited to their level.

IISA MOROCCO

IISA Morocco is the official association governing ice swimming in Morocco.

The association is committed to ensuring that all ice swimming events in Morocco take place in the safest possible environment, as ice swimming is recognized as an extreme sport.

It should be emphasized that IISA cannot guarantee the safety of all participants who wish to take part in ice swimming or an IISA-recognized event. The association assumes no responsibility in the event of death, injury, or any losses incurred. All swimmers participate at their own risk.

The Ice Swim in Morocco is not just an event; it is also a celebration of camaraderie and nature

Every year, we have the honor of introducing our participants to the folklore of Ahidous, a true treasure of our cultural heritage.

It is always a highlight, especially for our international participants who discover this ancient dance for the first time, blending rhythms, songs, and traditions.

Ahidous is much more than a simple artistic performance: it is a living expression of our identity, pride, and hospitality. Through this tradition, we share a part of our history, values, and the very soul of the region.

Discovering a country also means experiencing its flavors, and this year we had the privilege of welcoming Chef Simo, who came specially to share the richness of Moroccan cuisine. During our culinary workshop, participants immersed themselves in our gastronomy by preparing traditional dishes together.

At the same time, we prepared a generous Moroccan soup, which was offered to over 400 people, including our participants, auxiliary forces, the gendarmerie, local villagers, and children.

This initiative also involved women from the region, who helped prepare large quantities of food, showcasing their skills and creating a true dynamic of local solidarity and cultural transmission.

A moment of sharing and conviviality that perfectly illustrates Moroccan hospitality.

Different generations, same challenge

At ICE Swim in Morocco, age is just a number. We have had participants from all over the world and of all ages, from 16 to over 80 years old. What truly matters is the energy, the passion for cold-water swimming, and the willingness to dive together into a shared adventure.

Here, the only limits are the ones we choose to set for ourselves.
