Ice Swim in Morocco

The Ice Swim in Morocco is the first ice swimming event ever organized in the country. Its main objective is to promote and develop this discipline while offering Moroccan and international swimmers a unique and stimulating experience.

The event offers participants various swimming distances, ranging from 50 meters to 1000 meters, allowing each swimmer to take on a challenge suited to their level.

The chosen venue for this competition is Lake Aguelmam Azegza, an exceptional natural site surrounded by dense vegetation, providing optimal conditions for cold-water swimming. Located in the Middle Atlas, within the national park of the same name, the lake is about one hour’s drive from the city of Khénifra.

Beyond the sporting competition, Ice Swim in Morocco is also committed to showcasing Morocco’s cultural heritage and traditions, particularly those of the Khénifra region and the Middle Atlas. Through various activities and entertainment, participants — both national and international — have the opportunity to discover local cultural riches, including handicrafts, gastronomy, and regional customs.

Thanks to its unique character, Ice Swim in Morocco contributes to the promotion of ice swimming in the region and attracts swimmers eager for new challenges, thereby strengthening the visibility of this discipline at both the national and international levels.
