IISA MOROCCO

IISA Morocco is the official association that governs ice swimming in the country.

The association is committed to ensuring that all ice swimming events in Morocco take place in the safest possible environment, as ice swimming is recognized as an extreme sport.

It should be noted that IISA cannot guarantee the safety of all participants wishing to take part in ice swimming or in an IISA-recognized event. The association cannot be held responsible for any death, injury, or loss incurred as a result. All swimmers participate at their own risk.

Hassan Baraka

IISA Morocco is the national association responsible for organizing all ice swimming events in Morocco in accordance with the rules of the International Ice Swimming Association (IISA).

Mr. Hassan Baraka (President) is recognized by the International Ice Swimming Association as an “Official”.

IISA Officials are members certified by IISA and qualified to certify a swim or an ice swimming event in Morocco.

Hassan BARAKA

Hassan Baraka is a Moroccan extreme athlete and swimmer.

Hassan has accomplished some of the world’s most extreme sporting challenges. He is the first Moroccan and the youngest swimmer in the world to swim across all five continents, and the first Moroccan to participate in the World Marathon Challenge (7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents, including the South Pole in Antarctica). Hassan has also participated in the SwimRun ÖtillÖ World Championship in Sweden and was the first swimmer to represent Morocco at the 3rd IISA Ice Swimming World Championship in Murmansk, March 2019.

On January 21, 2021, he became the first Moroccan swimmer to complete an Ice Mile, and on February 6, 2022, he completed a second one in Poland. In 2023, he achieved the Ice Triple Crown.
